Date Extended for Programmes announced by Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute

Announcement of New Programmes of Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute

We are pleased to announce the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India funded five new programmes for the year 2015-16, namely:

  1. Shastri Institutional Collaborative Research Grant (SICRG)
  2. Shastri Mobility Programme (SMP)
  3. Shastri Research Student Fellowship (SRSF)
  4. Faculty Development Programme for Vocational Education (FDPVE)
  5. Faculty-In-Residence Programme (FIR)

Most of these programmes are new initiatives of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute under the Xth Addendum to MoU with the Government of India. The focus areas are mainly Energy - including the Renewable Energy, Agricultural science/ Technology, Environmental Sciences, Teacher education and training, Health Science Education and Nursing, Marine Sciences, Ocean Studies apart from subjects relating to Humanities and Social Sciences.  The Institute has also included Vocational Education and Development Areas in its broader ambit. These programmes will be beneficial for the adoption of new methods of pedagogy, boosting research in cutting-edge technologies and building stronger academic networks between both countries.
In order to give a wider coverage to these programmes, we request you to kindly have it displayed on the notice boards and respective websites of your University/Institution.
